SCRIP-SAFE® International, Inc. is located in Loveland, Ohio, where it owns a major production and printing facility. Started in 1989, the company has manufactured special security document paper for over 2,400 corporations, colleges and universities located all over the world. Joe Orndorff is the founder, President and CEO.

SCRIP-SAFE® began its business by protecting academic records from fraudulent misuse. The continued growth of academic record fraud propelled the growth and importance of SCRIP-SAFE® products. With an eye toward product innovation, customer service and appearance, SCRIP-SAFE® soon became the market leader, a position that it still maintains. In 1992, SCRIP-SAFE® received a U.S. Patent for a security paper that does not require camouflage to hide a printed latent image. When a SCRIP-SAFE® document is photocopied, a latent image appears over the face of the document. This provides improved security against the photocopying of confidential records and documents.

In 1996, Diplomas on Demand® was launched, which allows universities and colleges to print their own diplomas using standard desktop equipment. SCRIP-SAFE® creates customized diploma paper for institutions that can safely be printed on a desktop laser printer. This allows for much for flexibility and control for office staff and monetary savings makes Diplomas on Demand® a cost effective solution.

In addition to academic records, SCRIP-SAFE® began exploring opportunities with corporate leaders. Patented in 1998, SCRIP-SAFE® Patent Pad® laboratory notebooks are used by research driven corporations to record inventions and dates of discovery. This information is subsequently used to file patents and to defend patents against infringement and patent interference. SCRIP-SAFE® was once again able to provide real solutions or our customers.
