SCRIP-SAFE now has the COMPLETE transcript service: ordering and electronic or paper delivery.

With the recent introduction of Transcripts on Demand Elite, colleges and universities now have available to them not only a transcript ordering and electronic transcript delivery service  but also the option of  having SCRIP-SAFE print, mail and deliver all paper transcripts. This service allows the institution to retain the right to print transcripts at its discretion; this may be especially important for students visiting the Registrar’s office expecting to leave with a printed transcript in hand. However, the printing and mailing of transcripts is labor intensive and costly. With Transcripts on Demand Elite, SCRIP-SAFE charges the student’s credit card a flat processing fee for each unique order and a small additional processing fee for each paper transcript they would like to have delivered. This additional fee includes the cost of printing and storing the institution’s custom transcript paper, the cost of custom envelopes with printed institutional name and return address, and postage for domestic first class mail. There is no cost to the institution.

This new option utilizes eSCRIP-SAFE which in turn enables the institution to establish a special receiving account that is designated for the printing of transcripts by SCRIP-SAFE International on behalf of the institution. Procedurally, the institution staff processes the transcript following normal work-flow procedures using eSCRIP-SAFE. When a “printed” transcript request is determined, the transcript is delivered electronically to the college’s special account.

SCRIP-SAFE staff monitors these special accounts and when “printed” transcript requests are detected; SCRIP-SAFE prints the transcript on the institution’s secure customized transcript paper. Unlike other services, there is no need for a generic transcript; the institution will keep its distinct transcript. The transcript is then mailed by either U.S. First Class mail or an express mailing service designated by the institution. The institution is notified of the date/time the transcript is mailed, along with a tracking number for express mailings. These special accounts are monitored Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm excluding national holidays.
