Collegiate transcript recipients are awash in paper. Admissions offices report that every year the number of paper transcripts increases and their ability to process and store paper records becomes an even greater challenge. Consequently, the ability to provide timely responses to anxious and impatient applicants becomes more difficult.

By joining the eSCRIP-SAFE™ Global E-Transcript Delivery Network the paper burden can be significantly reduced while simplifying the application process and receiving and storing an even greater numbers of applicant transcripts.

There are two categories of receivers. Network receivers complete a formal registration and SCRIP-SAFE^® completes a formal background investigation. Network receivers are issued system access credentials and the local account administrator may add an unlimited number of staff accounts.

OneTime™ receivers are designated and identified by the student through the recipient email address. OneTime™ receivers must complete a simple registration for each transcript delivered through eSCRIP-SAFE™. OneTime™ receivers should consider becoming network receivers if they are receiving multiple official transcripts. There is no cost or software installation for any receiver.

A copy of the free Adobe Reader^® 7.0 must be installed on the desktop. The receiver has three options to retain the transcript: (1) save to the institution’s document imaging system; (2) save electronically as a PDF document; or (3) print to paper.

Flexibility! While the eSCRIP-SAFE® network addresses and delivers PDF e-transcripts now, it is also capable of transmitting XML (PESC) data between institutions. If an institution can receive and map XML electronic transcripts, the data can be sent and received via this network providing one source to receive both PDF and XML transcripts.
